2,400 Km na bike lane sa 2028

ISINUMITE noong Biyernes ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) sa Department of the Interior
and Local Government (DIDLG) at mga lokal na pamahalaan ang Bike Lane Master Plan (BLMP), na naglalayung dagdagan ang bike lanes ng 2,400 kilometro sa 2028.


Ang BLMP ay magsisilbing gabay sa mga lokal na pamahalaan ang paglikha ng komprehensibong
bike lanes.


Ayon kay Andres Melad, DOTr Assistant Secretary for Road Transport and Infrastructure,
binabala ngkas ng BLMP ang mga proyekto ng ahensya gaya ng pagtatayo ng kalsada, tulay, at iba
pang imprastraktura para mapahusay ang transportasyon sa mga urbanisadong lungsod.

Sakop ng BLMP ang pagtatayo ng bike lanes sa Metro Cebu, Metro Manila at Metro Davao.

“This plan envisions a comprehensive network of interconnected bike lanes that will traverse our
bustling streets, connecting neighborhoods, schools, businesses and recreational areas,”
