SAN JUAN City brought vital government services directly to its constituents through the nationwide “Handog ng Pangulo” program, marking the birthday of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. at City Hall.

The initiative was spearheaded by San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora and Special Assistant to the Mayor Rocco Zamora with Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development Secretary Jose Ramon P. Aliling, offering residents access to more than 50 national and local services spanning healthcare, financial aid, employment, legal assistance, and regulatory support.

Financial and social welfare relief took center stage during the event.

A total of 2,000 San Juaneños received ₱2,000 each in financial assistance, while 3,412 senior citizens were given their social pensions.

Additionally, free rice was distributed to 1,000 beneficiaries, and other residents took advantage of the subsidized rice program allowing them to purchase grain at ₱20 per kilo.

Job seekers and entrepreneurs also benefited from employment registration, business and building permit processing, legal consultations, and civil registry assistance.

Specialized support included applications for PWD and Solo Parent IDs, Right To Care Cards, and anti-drug referral services.

Meanwhile, the city’s veterinary office catered to pet owners by offering free spaying, neutering, anti-rabies vaccinations, and microchipping.

The comprehensive caravan underscored the local government’s commitment to delivering accessible, responsive, and people-centered public service to the community.
