Top 7 most wanted in PRO 12 arrested over Sultan Kudarat police ambush

JOINT law enforcement operations led to the capture of a high-value wanted individual linked to the deadly ambush of two police officers in Sultan Kudarat.

The suspect, identified as 19-year-old Norhamin Dalgan, alias “Ogie,” was apprehended at around 4:40 PM on August 18, 2026, in Barangay Poblacion, Ampatuan.

Dalgan, a resident of Barangay Mao, Datu Abdullah Sangki, is listed as the Top 7 Most Wanted Person at the regional level of Police Regional Office 12 (PRO 12).

The operation was conducted by elements of the Maguindanao del Sur Police Provincial Office (MDSPPO), under Provincial Director PCol. Michael John C. Mangahis, alongside the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 12 (RMFB 12), commanded by PCol. Samuel T. Cadungon.

Dalgan faces murder charges under Criminal Case Nos. 26-9288-LA and 26-9289-LA, issued by Hon. Felix Factor Mesa, Acting Presiding Judge of RTC Branch 20 in Tacurong City.

The warrants stem from the July 12, 2026, ambush of two RMFB 12 personnel in Barangay Tinumigues, Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat.

According to intelligence reports, Dalgan served as a “facilitator” in the attack. He reportedly operated under Marhom Ismael (alias “Marhom”), a leader of the Dawlah Islamiyah – Hassan Group (DI-HG) who was previously neutralized in a law enforcement operation alongside key associates Halim Sansawi Usman and Ali Hassan.

PNP-issued firearms belonging to the slain RMFB 12 personnel were earlier recovered from Usman.

Dalgan is currently held at the Ampatuan Municipal Police Station detention facility pending a court commitment order and trial proceedings. Follow-up operations are ongoing to locate remaining suspects tied to the ambush.
