Foreign national wanted for human trafficking falls in EPD dragnet

A wanted person facing charges for violation of the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003 was arrested by operatives of the Mandaluyong City Police Station on Monday afternoon, August 17, 2026, in Barangay Plainview, Mandaluyong City.

Arrested was “Donald,” a 44-year-old Canadian national. The operation was conducted at around 2:15 PM along F. Martinez Street, Barangay Plainview, Mandaluyong City.

The accused was apprehended by personnel of the Warrant and Subpoena Section of Mandaluyong CPS by virtue of an Alias Warrant of Arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 213, Mandaluyong City, for violation of Section 4(e) of Republic Act No. 9208, otherwise known as the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003.

The suspect was subsequently brought to the Mandaluyong City Medical Center for physical examination before being turned over to the Custodial Facility Unit of Mandaluyong CPS for proper disposition.

Police Brigadier General Melecio M Buslig Jr, Acting District Director of the Eastern Police District, commended the operating personnel for the successful implementation of the warrant and reiterated EPD’s commitment to ensuring that individuals facing criminal charges are brought before the courts to answer for their alleged offenses.

“The Eastern Police District remains steadfast in its mission to uphold the rule of law and support the administration of justice through the relentless service of our personnel in the enforcement of court-issued warrants,” PBGen. Buslig stated.

The Eastern Police District encourages the public to continue cooperating with law enforcement authorities by providing information that may aid in the arrest of wanted persons and the maintenance of peace and order within the district’s area of responsibility.
