LAW enforcers under the Southern Police District (SPD) apprehended six drug suspects and confiscated more than ₱110,000 worth of suspected shabu during a series of targeted buy-bust operations across Makati, Muntinlupa, Pasay, and Pateros on August 13, 2026.
The anti-illegal drug drive netted approximately 16.2 grams of suspected shabu, carrying an estimated total standard drug price (SDP) of ₱110,160.
The sting operations kicked off early in Makati City at around 1:25 AM when Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) operatives targeted a spot along P. Binay Street in Barangay Bangkal.
The operation led to the arrest of two individuals identified by their aliases, “Gelo,” 40, and “Alvin,” 44. Police recovered around four grams of suspected shabu valued at ₱27,200, alongside marked buy-bust money.
Later that evening in Muntinlupa City, SDEU personnel collared alias “Eloy,” a 44-year-old listed drug personality, along Biazon Road Extension in Barangay Poblacion at around 6:30 PM. Operatives seized 4.7 grams of suspected shabu with an SDP of ₱31,960.
Half an hour later in Pasay City, another watchlisted drug personality, 51-year-old alias “Asok,” fell to SDEU officers during a 7:00 PM buy-bust on Sunflower Street, Barangay 184. Confiscated from the suspect were 4.5 grams of suspected shabu worth ₱30,600.
The operations concluded in Pateros at approximately 7:45 PM along F. C. Tuazon Street in Barangay Tabacalera, where local SDEU teams arrested alias “Charlie,” 57, and alias “Alfredo,” 45. Police seized three grams of suspected shabu valued at ₱20,400 from their possession.
All suspects were informed of their constitutional rights and underwent documentation and medical evaluation.
The seized illicit substances will be submitted for laboratory examination, while charges for violating Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) are being prepared for filing with respective prosecutor offices.
SPD District Director PBGen. Glenn Oliver C. Cinco commended the operating units, reinforcing their commitment to lawful, intelligence-led enforcement.
“These successful operations demonstrate our continued commitment to keeping illegal drugs out of our communities while respecting individual rights,” PBGen. Cinco stated.
