10,000-person task force para hulihin si Bato binuwag ng DILG

BINUWAG na ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) ang binuo nitong 10,000-katao na Task Force para arestuhin si Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa.

Ito ang sinabi ni DILG Secretary Junvic Remulla matapos kumpirmahin ng International Criminal Court (ICC) na wala pa itong inilalabas na warrant of arrest para sa nagtatagong senador.

Sa halip, ayon sa kalihim, mag-i-isyu na lamang sila ng subpoena kaugnay sa mahigit 100 kaso ng extra-judicial killings (EJKs) na isinagawa sa panahong hepe pa si dela Rosa ng Philippine National Police (PNP) sa administrasyon ng dating pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.

Ayon pa kay Remulla, may balita umano sila na nasa bansa pa ang senador at nagtatago sa Davao Region sa Mindanao.

Maliban kay dela Rosa, may ilan pang dati at aktibong mga opisyal ng pulis na pinaniniwalaang sangkot sa extra-judicial killings na padadalhan din ng subpoena.

Nilinaw ni Remulla na ang ii-isyu nilang subpoena ay hiwalay o walang kinalaman sa kaso ng senador sa ICC dahil hindi na umano miyembro ang Pilipinas sa nasabing international judicial body.

Dagdag pa ng kalihim, na isang uri lamang ng imbestigasyon ng DILG-PNP ang kanilang ginagawa may kinalaman sa war on drugs na nauwi umano sa EJKs na nangyari noong nakaraang administrasyon.
