TINABLA ng House Justice Committee ang clarificatory question sa manipestasyon ni Sagip Party-list Rep. Paolo Henry Marcoleta na kumukwestyon sa proseso ng impeachment proceedings na tumatalakay sa SALN ni Vice President Sara Duterte.
Ayon kay Marcoleta, ang pagtalakay umano dito ay maituturing na fishing expedition dahil ang dokumento ay naisumite na sa Office of the Ombudsman.
Bunsod dito, hayagang ipinamukha ni House Justice Committee Chair at Batangas Rep. Gerville Luistro kay Marcoleta na hindi pwedeng magbigay ng clarificatory question ang mambabatas dahil hindi naman ito miyembro ng komite.
Diin pa ni Luistro, kasama sa impeachment complaint laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte ang Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net worth (SALN).
“That’s for the record. Any other member who wishes to, Honorable Marcoleta, please understand that you are not a member of the Justice Committee.
You’re allowed to manifest, but you cannot raise clarificatory questions to the resource persons,” paalala ni Luistro kay Marcoleta.
“Malaki ang pinagkaiba ng isang complaint that already alleges ultimate facts supported by evidence. And a complaint that substantially requests this committee to authorize this committee to investigate. And perhaps we will later find the proof,” paliwanag naman ni Marcoleta.
Kaugnay nito’y binasa ni Luistro kay Marcoleta kung saan-saan sa mga dalawang impeachment complaint nabanggit ang SALN ni Duterte na isa sa mga dokumentong ipinasumite ng komite sa Office of the Ombudsman.
