Meralco tiniyak na hindi sasablay ang kauna-unahang subway ng bansa

NAKIPAGKASUNDO ang Manila Electric Company (Meralco) sa Metro Manila Subway Project na kung saan lalaanan ng pondong ₱280 million para masigurong may sapat  na supply ng kuryente ang kauna-unahang subway ng bansa na magtatapos sa 2026.

Ayon kay Meralco Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Ronnie Aperocho na suportado nila ang inisyatibo ng pamahalaan para ma-improve ang  transportation infrastructure ng bansa na kung saan naglaan na sila ng 115 kV switching station sa Barangay Ugong, Valenzuela City.

“The Metro Manila Subway will definitely change the way of living in the country’s economic center,” ayon kay Aperocho. 

Sinabi naman ni Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista  na malalim ang public-private partnership dahil naisakatuparan ang subway project  para sa mga commuters na magkaroon ng ligtas, komportable at magkaroon  ng accessible train rides.

Ang Metro Manila Subway ay ginawa mula sa tulong ng Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

Ang biyahe ng pa-subway ay mula Mindanao Avenue, Quezon City hanggang Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 sa Pasay City.

Magkakaroon din ng cut travel time sa pagitan ng Valenzuela City at Pasay City mula isang oras hanggang 10 minuto noon at magiging 41 minutes na ngayon at kayang magsakay ng 519,000 passengers araw-araw.
