1st Batch ng ex-Saudi OFWs, ‘tanggap na ang back wages

UMABOT na sa 843 claimants ang nakatanggap ng kani-kanilang tseke na may kabuuang
₱700 milyon, ayon sa Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) nitong Peb. 6.


Ayon kay Hans Leo Cacdac, OIC, DMW, na isa pang batch ng 400 tseke ang maire-
release sa susunod na buwan, na magbibigay ng kabuuang 1,500 tseke.


Matatandaang noong ikatlong kwarter ng 2023, nag-submit ang DMW sa mga awtoridad
sa Saudi ng opisyal na listahan ng 10,554 na Saudi OFW claimants na may
kumpirmadong “iqamas” o opisyal na work permit sa bansang ito.


Ayon kay Cacdac, malaking trabaho pa ang kinakailangang gawin dahil ilan sa claimants
ang namatay na at kailangang pa ang ilang dokumento para makuha ng pamilya nito ang
benepisyo. May problema rin daw ang ilang tseke dahil iba ang spelling o pangalan na
nakasulat sa tseke kaysa sa aktuwal na pangalan ng OFW.

naapektuhan nang pagsasara ng mga kompanya sa kaniyang bansa.


Patuloy daw silang makikipagtulungan sa Saudi counterparts para maresolba ang lahat
ng isyu para matanggap ng lahat ng 10,554 OFWs ang kanilang benepisyo, ayon pa kay
Cacdac.
