Kawani ng NAIA na nagnakaw at lumunok ng $300, parusahan – Poe

“Nakakagalit at nakakahiya ang pangyayaring ito”, pahayag ni Senador Grace Poe.
Sinabi niya ito matapos malaman na isang airport screener sa Ninoy Aquino International
Airport ang nagnakaw ng US$300 sa isang banyaga, at para hindi mahuli, tinupi ito nang husto
at isinubo, na nakunan ng CCTV camera.


“Parang hindi nauubusan ng gimik ang mga kawatan sa airport”, dagdag pa ni Poe.


Maaaring hindi ang buong kwento ang nakita sa CCTV. Pero umabot daw sa kaalaman ni Poe
na may nagsabing inutusan ang kawani ng Office for Transporation Security (OTS) na gawin ito
para hindi mahuli. Ang big sabihin, may mga kasabwat pa ito.


Idiniin ni Poe na sana, matutunton kaagad ng awtoridad sa kanilang imbestigasyon ang lahat
ng sangkot dito.

Dapat ding imbestigahan nang pamanuan ng airport ang insidente, mag-file ng kaso at sipain
kaagad ang mga kawani na sangkot sa mga gawaing kriminal, na nakasisira sa imahe ng
bansa.


“We ask the airport security office to properly vet applicants and re-interview existing
employees to determine their qualifications and evaluate their performance,” pagtatapos ni
Poe.


Samantala, sinabi ni Tourism Congress of the Philippines president Bob Zozobrado, “Anong
klaseng standards ang ginagamit ng HR manager ng OTS (Office for Transportation Security)
in hiring these people?… This is not the first time… Maybe they just hire anybody they see on
the street,” sabi ni Zozobrado sa panayam sa isang radio program.
