P1,164, Kailangang ng bawat pamilyang Pilipino sa NCR

DAHIL sa 5.3 percent inflation rate, ang bawat pamilyang Pilipino sa Metro Manila – na may
limang miyembro – ay kailangang kumita ng P1,164 kada araw para mabuhay nang maayos.


“A family of five in (the National Capital Region} should receive a wage of P1,178 per day or
P23,628/month in order to live decently,” ayon sa IBON Foundation ng nakaraang Martes.


Ito ay malayo sa pahayag ni NEDA Secretary Arsenio Balisacan na kailangang mas mababa
pa sa sweldong P12,000 kada buwan, ang kinikita ng isang pamilya na may limang miyembro,
para tawaging “mahirap”.


Ito’y sobrang layo sa P610 na minimum wage sa NCR, na ipinatupad noong Hulyo 16.

Samantalang ang non-agricultural workers sa Luzon ay tumatanggap ng P350-P475 lamang
kada araw.


Ayon pa sa IBON, sa pagkain pa lamang, upa sa bahay, transportasyon, kuryente, tubig, at LPG,
ay kulang na ang minimum wage, na kasya lamang para sa mag-asawang walang anak at
nakikitira sa magulang.


Patuloy na sasakit ang bulsa ng karaniwang Pilipino habang ang ibinibigay na dagdag-sahod ay
barya lamang, pati na ang price control ng pangunahing bilihin, ayon pa sa IBON.
