1 st Day ng klase sa 14 embo schools, maayos

NAGING maayos ang unang araw ng klase sa 14 public schools sa embos o enlisted
men’s barrios sa Taguig City.


Ito ay ayon kay Department of Education (DepEd) Asst. Secretary Francis Cesar
Bringas. Sinabi pa niya na ang ahensya ay may “full control” sa operasyon ng mga
nasabing paaralan na dating nasa hurisdiksyon ng Makati City.


“Gaya nang nakita naming ngayon umaga, ang pagbubukas ng klase ay maayos at
mapayapa,” saad ni Bringas sa English, sa pagbisita niya sa Fort Bonifacio Elementary
School.


“Sana, magtuloy-tuloy na ito hanggang sa matapos ang academic year (AY),” dugtong
pa niya.


Matatandaang dahil sa pag-aaway sa 10 teritoryo ng Makati at Taguig, na denisisyunan
ito ng Korte Supreme pabor sa Taguig, kaya nagkaroon nang lumalalang tensyon.

Sa ngayon, Agosto 28, may kabuuang 22,676,964 estudyante sa public and private
schools ang nag-enrol na sa pampubliko at pribadong paaralan sa buong bansa. Mas
mababa ito kaysa 28.4 milyon na nag-enrol noong 2022.

Sinabi pa ni Bringas na inaasahang tataas pa ang bilang nang mag-e-enrol sa susunod
na linggo dahil marami pa ang hindi pa enrolled. Pwede pa raw tanggapin ang late
enrolees.


Samantala, ipatutupad na ang bagong MATATAG Curriculum sa bagong AY. Inalis ang
halos 70 percent sa dating curriculum at binawasan ang “learning competencies” mula
11,000 na naging 3,600 na lamang. Ginawa ring lima ang subjects sa unang mga lebel
sa elementarya. Kasali rito ang Language, Mathemathics, Reading and Literacy,
Makabansa, at Good Manners and Right Conduct.
