10 Pinoy indie films sa Cinemalaya 2023

NAGBABALIK po kami!


Ito ang mensaheng nais iparating ng ika-19 na Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film
Festival na ginanap sa Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), magmula nitong
Agosto 4-13.

Sa taong ito, 10 bagong pelikula ang kalahok sa kumpetisyon, kasali ang unang dokumentaryo
at animated short movies.


Matatandaang ang festival ay ibinalik noong 2022 na naitigil dahil sa pananalasa ng Covid-19
pandemic.


Tinanghal na best film noong 2022 ang The Basketball Player ni Carlo Obispo, at si Tommy
Alejandrino ang best child actor. Nagwagi rin ng best in screenplay at best in editing ang
pelikula.


Samantala, last year, ‘wagi si Max Eigenmann na best actress sa pelikulang 12 Weeks.
Inialay niya ang kanyang panalo sa tiyahing si Cherry Gil na namatay sa Memorial Sloan-
Kettering Cancer Center sa edad na 59.

Maria, dinirek ni Sheryl Rose Andes; Rookie, dinirek ni Samantha Lee; Tether, SD ni Gian
Arre; at When This Is All Over, dinirek ni Kevin Mayuga.
