SIM card registration, isang buwan na lang

ANG National SIM Card Registration ay magtatapos na sa Abril 26, 2023 ayon sa Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).

Ngunit ayon sa DICT, nasa 49.20 milyon o 29.12 % pa lamang ang mga nairehistrong SIM card batay sa Republic Act (RA) 11934 o ang Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) Registration Act na nilagdaan ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. na nagsimula noong Disyembre 7, 2022.

Batay sa nasabing batas, ang lahat na active SIM subscribers ay kailangang mag-submit ng kumpletong form sa website ng mga telecommunications company sa loob ng 180 days.

Ang mga SIM card na hindi naiparehistro matapos ang anim na buwan ay madi-deactivate o hindi na maaaring iparehistro.

Ayon kay DICT spokesperson Anna Mae Yu Lamentillo, undersecretary for public affairs and foreign relations, patuloy silang makikipag-ugnayan sa mga local government units (LGUs) sa buong bansa upang hikayatin ang publiko na magparehistro na.

Pinasisigla rin ng ahensya ang publiko na huwag nang hintayin pa ang cut-off date sa April 26 at makikipag-ugnayan sila sa National Telecommunication Commission (NTC) upang mapadali ang pagpaparehistro.

Pumayag o mag-agree sa Privacy Notice, Proof of Completeness and Accuracy, Marketing and Promotional Permission at Data Sharing.

I-click ang “Submit” o “Next” upang tapusin ang proseso ng registration. I-save ang reference number bilang patunay ng rehistro. Ang mga menor-de-edad o wala pang 18 anyos ay kailangang magparehistro gamit ang pangalan ng kanilang magulang o legal guardian.

Kailangan din nilang mag-submit ng kasalukuyang valid ID at authorization mula sa kanilang legal guardian.
