LABIS na naaalarma ngayon ang mga may-ari ng 4.2 milyong units ng Toyota cars sa United States dahil sa problema sa transmission.

Matatandaang ini-recall kamakailan ng Toyota ang 280,000 pickup trucks dahil sa problema sa transmission—umaandar ito kahit naka-neutral.

Kasama sa recall ang 2022 To Toyota Tundra pickups, Lexux LX 600, pati na 2023 at 2024 Toyota Sequoia SUVs, ayon sa ulat ng Associated Press.

Ang isyu ang tungkol sa ilang bahagi ng transmission na hindi nadidis-engage kahit naka-neutral ang sasakyan, na nagpapangyaring umandar ito.

Ang problema ay maaaring matuloy sa aksidente, ayon sa Toyota. Nangako ang dealers ng Toyota at Lexus ng update ng transmission software, nang libre.

Samantala, umabot sa 6.3 milyong units ng Honda ang naapektuhan ng recall noong 2023, kasunod ang Ford, 6.1 milyon, at Kia, 3.1 milyon, ayon sa US National highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Wala pang nai-report na problema sa mga Toyota, Ford, at Kia units na naibenta sa Pilipinas.
