BINUKSAN kamakailan ng South Korean Embassy sa Maynila ang application
para sa Global Korea Scholarships (GKS) – Embassy Track.

Ito ay bukas sa lahat ng Pilipino na nagtapos sa kolehiyo na nagnanais na magpatuloy na kumuha nang mas mataas na edukasyon sa South Korea.

“The Korean Embassy in the Philippines is pleased to announce that the 2024 Global Korea Scholarship (Graduate Degrees, Embassy Track) is now open for application. Seventeen Filipino students will be selected through the embassy track to participate in the graduate program,” ayon pa sa embahada.

Bukas ang pinto para sa nais mag-apply magmula Pebrero 13-March 6, 2024.

Ang GKS ay isang programang pinondohan ng Korean government na nagbibigay ng scholarships sa mga banyaga para makapag-aral sa mga kilalang pamantasan sa bansang ito. Layunin ng programa na mapahusay pa ang pakikipagkaibigan sa ibang bansa.

Kasali sa scholarship ang libreng round-trip airfare tickets, monthly stipends, tuition, scholarship completion grants, Korean language training, at medical insurance.

Umaabot sa tatlong taon ang master’s degree program sa Korea — isang taon sa pag-aaral ng kanilang wika at dalawang taon para matapos ang degree.

Samantalang apat na taon ang kailangang para makatapos ng doctorate degree.

Magmula 1968, mahigit 300 Pilipino na ang nakapag-aral at natuto sa kulturang Korean sa bansang ito.
