BONGGA ANG SAYA!


Ito ang nadarama ngayon ng 31 film directors matapos makatanggap ng ₱2.5 milyon
bawat isa bilang film grants mula sa Puregold supermarket chain.


Magtutunggalian ang bawat isa sa Puregold CinePanalo Festival, ayon kay Ivy Hayagan-
Piedad, senior manager for marketing, Puregold, nitong Enero 23.


Ayon pa kay Piedad, nais ng festival na “uphold education and be a catalyst in the film
medium that can be passed on to future generations.”


“It’s difficult to be a filmmaker in this country… We want to help with that first step.
One panalo push might be what can make a young, aspiring director become the next
Lino Brocka, Brillante Mendoza, or Peque Gallaga,” dagdag pa niya.


Anim na full-length films at 25 short films ang napili mula sa 200 nakilahok, na dapat,
ang bawat isa ay tumutugon sa kahilingan na — nagbibigay-inspirasyon at may
mabuting mensahe para sa pamilya.

Ang full-length film finalists na nakatanggap ng ₱2.5 milyon bawat isa ay: “Piaya
Moon” ni Kurt Soberano, “One Day League” ni Eugene Torres, “Pushcart Tales” ni

Sigrid Bernardo, “Boys at the Back” ni Raynier Brizuela, “Road to Happy” ni Joel
Ferrer, at “A Lab Story” ni Carlo Obispo.


Samantala ilan sa 25 short films ng mga estudyanteng direktor na nabigyan ng
₱100,000 bawat isa, ay sina: Jenievive B. Adame, “Smokey Journey” (STI College
Cubao); Ma. Rafaela Mae Abucejo, “Saan Ako Pinaglihi?”, (Polytechnic University of
the Philippines); Alexa Moneii Agaloos’ Ka Benjie (PUP).


Ang bawat pelikula ay mapapanood sa Gateway Cinemas, Cubao, Quezon City mula
Marso 15-17. Pagkatapos, ito’y ipalalabas sa iba’t ibang rehiyon ng bansa.


Mapapanood din ang bawat pelikula sa opisyal na social media channels ng Puregold.
