Dagdag PhilHealth coverage sa cancer, heart bypass surgery — Rep. Lee

IPINAHAYAG ni Agri Partylist Rep. Wilbert Lee na dapat full coverage ang Philhealth sa
paggamot sa kanser, heart bypass surgery, at iba pang major operations sa mga
ospital.


Ito ay bukod pa sa karagdagang 30 percent na pagtaas sa Philhealth benefits na
magiging epektibo sa Pebrero 14, 2024.


Ayon sa mambabatas, umaabot sa milyong piso ang halaga nang pagpapagamot sa
mga nabanggit na sakit, samantalang mula ₱150,000 hanggang ₱600,000 lamang ang
binabayaran ng Philhealth.


Dagdag pa niya, “’Yung sa heart bypass surgery, coronary artery bypass, ₱550,000 ang
limit sa coverage pero milyun-milyon ang gagastusin diyan.”

“Tinututukan ko po ito, hindi tayo hihinto sa 30 percent increase sa benefits na
ipinaglaban natin… Kahit doble ang itaas ng [benepisyo] kakapusin pa rin sa
pambayad ang mga miyembro,” saad ni Lee.

Idiniin ng kongresista na dapag gawing “unlimited” ang bayad sa cancer, at dapat
saguting lahat ng Philhealth ang gastusin.


Wala pang reaksyon ang Philhealth sa panukala ni Lee.
