Pasahero sa Clark Int’l. Airport, lomobo ng 158%

UMABOT sa dalawang milyon ang pasahero sa 14,892 flights sa Clark International
Airport (Clark) noong 2023, o may 158 percent na pagtaas.


Target ng Clark na madoble ang pasahero nito sa apat na milyon, dahil sa paglakas ng
ekonomiya kasabay nang paglulunsad ng 13 bagong ruta.


Ang airport ay may kapasidad na walong milyong pasahero sa isang taon.


“We continually open up the economy. We’re still transitioning from the pandemic
and so we’re really happy with the performance of the Clark International Airport,”
ayon kay Arrey Perez, president at CEO, Clark Int’l. Airport Corp. (CIAC), nitong
Pebrero 2.


Ang agresibong kampanya sa turismo sa ating bansa ay madaragdag pa ng mas
maraming pasahero, ayon pa kay Perez.

Sa taong ito, bubuksan ang mga bagong ruta sa Taipei, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Narita,
Macau, Cheongju, Coron, Bacolod, Iloilo, Davao, General Santos, Cagayan de Oro at
Puerto Princesa.


Muling ibinalik ng Royal Air Philippines ang operasyon nito sa Clark nitong 2023. May
flights sila araw-araw sa Hong Kong. Nagbukas din ng ikatlong ruta ang Starlux Airlines
papuntang Taipei.


Sa kasalukuyan, nagsisilbi ang Clark sa 23 airline companies na may 11 international at
10 domestic destinations.


Palalawakin pa raw ang cargo operations sa Clark, partikular ang logistics companies
na FedEx and UPS, pagtatapos Perez.
