₱128.2-B para sa 113 state colleges, universities

TATANGGAP ng ₱128.2 bilyong alokasyon ang 113 state colleges and universities sa
buong bansa ngayong 2024; ito’y mas mataas ng ₱27.3 bilyon kaysa noong 2023.


Ayon kay Dr. Tirso Ronquillo, president, Philippine Association of State Universities and
Colleges (PASUC), labis siyang nagpasalamat kay Speaker Martin Romualdez dahil sa
pagtulong nito na madagdagan ang kanilang pondo.


Nagpasalamat din si Ronquillo sa Speaker sa paggamit ng “unprogrammed funds” para
mabayaran ang kinakailangang “free higher education deficiencies in school [sic] years
2022 and 2023”.

Ilan sa mga alokasyon ng 2024 na pondo ay:


o ₱20.1 billion as capital outlay — “digital transformation” for seven SUCs;

BASAHIN  Senado, Kamara, itinigil muna bangayan sa PI


o ₱5.3 billion — “construction, rehabilitation of classrooms, dormitories” for 40
SUCs; at,

o ₱692 million — for the establishment and support of college of medicine of 22
SUCs”.


Idinagdag pa ni Ronquillo na makikinabang dito ang 1.85 milyong estudyante, 72,000
faculty at staff, pati na 50,000 job order/contractual workers.
