6 na Pilipino, ligtas sa Prague shooting

Ligtas ang anim na estudyanteng Pilipino sa Prague, Czech Republic, sa isang shooting incident nitong Huwebes (sa Prague).

Dumanas nang matinding shock ang buong bansa dahil sa pamamaril ng isang gunman sa loob ng Charles University, na pumatay ng 14 na estudyante, at ikinasugat ng 25 iba pa. Ito raw ang pinakamalubhang insidente nang pamamaril sa bansa.

Ayon sa ulat ng pulisya, nagsimula raw ang pamamaril ng 15:00, local time (14:00 GMT), sa loob ng Faculty of Arts building sa Jan Palach Square.

Agad namang napatay ang 24-anyos na gunman na hindi kinilala ng pulisya.

Dahil dito, kinansela muna ni Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala ang lahat ng kanyang schedule dahil sa nakalulungkot na nangyari.

Sa isang opisyal na pahayag ng Philippine Embassy sa Czech Republic, kinontak daw nila ang anim na Pilipinong mag-aaral sa Charles University, at tiniyak nila na ligtas ang bawat isa sa kanila.

“The Philippine Embassy in Czech Republic wishes to inform the Filipino community in the Czech Republic that it has contacted a representative of the six known Filipino Students at the  Charles University, and ascertained that all of them are safe,” pagdiriin ng ating embahada.

Sinabi ng embahada na hindi pa kinilala ang pagka-mamamayan ng mga napatay at sinabi raw ng mga awtoridad sa kanila na kapag may Pilipinong nasawi, agad itong ipag-bibigay alam sa embahada.

Sinabi ng ating Department of Foreign Affairs na mayroong halos 6,200 na Pilipino sa Czech Republic. Patuloy daw itong magbibigay ng updates, sakaling may Pilipinong nasaktan o nasawi sa insidente.
