NAIS ng Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) na singilin ng one percent withholding tax ang lahat
ng online selling platforms.

Ayon kay BIR Commissioner Romeo Lumagui Jr., malapit nang matapos ang plano kung paano
pagbabayarin ng one percent with holding tax ang 50 percent ng gross remittances ng online
platform providers.


“Our target is, hopefully, we can implement it by December… or at the latest January of 2024,”
saad ni Lumagui.


Nilinaw ni Lumagui na dapat magparehistro sa BIR ang online seller para magkaroon ng
akreditasyon.

Ginawa ito ng BIR para gawing tama ang pagbabayad ng buwis gaya nang ginagawa ng
traditional na negosyo na nagbabayad ng withholding tax.

bawat buwan.
