INAASAHAN ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) na mas maraming Pilipino ang makauuwi
sa bansa mula sa Israel at Lebanon nitong Nobyembre, sa harap nang lumalalang tensyon sa
ilang bansa sa Middle East.


Sinabi ni DFA USec. Eduardo de Vega nitong Miyerkules na mayroong kabuuang 112 na
Pilipino ang makauuwi, at ang unang batch ay sa Biyernes.


Ipinatupad ng DFA ang Alert Level 3 o voluntary repatriation sa Lebanon dahil sa lumalalang
labanan sa pagitan ng Israel at ang Islamic group na Hezbolah.


Sa 17,500 Pilipino sa Lebanon, halos 10,000 sa kanila ay hindi dokumentado.
“We still have to get their access permits from Lebanon because they have been working there
illegally, but that is being worked on,” dagdag ni De Vega.


Ang repatriation ng mga Pilipino ay sa pamamagitan ng commercial flight, pero kapag lumala pa
ang sitwasyon, may opsyon na aalis sila patungong dagat.

Ayon kay De Vega, sa pang batch ang darating sa Nobyembre 6. Sa kabuuan, mayroon daw
120 ang na-repatriate at may karagdagan pang 143 Pilipino ang nagnanais na makauwi na.
Ang digmaang Israel at Hamas na nagsimula noong Oktubre 7 ay pumatay ng mahigit sa 1,500
Israelis at mahigit 8,000 Palestianians, na marami rito ay miyembro ng teroristang Hamas.
Ayon sa Palestine Health Ministry, halos 3,000 sa mga napatay ay bata.


Samantala, ayon sa BBC News, binuksan na kahapon ang Rafah Crossing, patungong Egypt.
Bibigyang prayoridad sa evacuation ang mga banyaga, dual passport holders, at iyong mga
