Umabot sa 817 drug suspects at nasa P41,124,151.60 halaga ng illegal drugs ang nasabat ng mga tauhan ng Quezon City Police District (QCPD) sa ikinasang serye ng  buy-bust operations sa loob ng ika-3rd Quarter ng 2023.

Masasabing matagumpay ang kampanya kontra illegal na droga ang ipinatutupad ni QCPD PBGen.

Redrico A Maranan matapos ang kabuuang ulat sa ikatlong quarter ng taon na kung saan mayroong 458 ang ikinasang anti-drug operations ng iba’t ibang police stations at units ng QCPD na nagresulta sa pagkakasabat ng aabot sa 5,699.72 gramo ng shabu, 18,442.13 gramo ng marijuana, at 158 gramo ng Kush o high-grade marijuana.

Nabatid na ang Novaliches Police Station (PS 4) sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni PLtCol. Jerry Castillo ang nakadale ng 74 kataong arestado sa illegal na droga at nakuhanan ng aabot sa P9,363,399.60 halaga  ng droga.

Kasunod ang District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) sa pamumuno ni Officer-in-charge PMAJ Wennie Ann Cale na nakahuli ng 29 drug peddlers at may  P8,851,200.00 halaga ng shabu at marijuana ang nakumpiska.

Nasa 78 suspek naman amg nakulong ng Kamuning Police Station (PS 10) sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni PLtCol. Robert Amoranto  na kung saan nasa P4,017,304.00  ang nasabat na illegal na droga habang sa Talipapa Police Station (PS 3) kay PLtCol. Morgan Aguilar ay nakahuli ng 53 drug suspects at nasa P3,962,680.00  ang nasabat na droga.

Mayroon namang 55 drug peddlers at nasa P3,628,304.00 halaga ng illegal drugs ang nasabat ng mga tauhan ng Batasan Police Station (PS 6) sa pamumuno ni PLtCol. Paterno Domondon Jr.

“I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our Mayor, Hon. Joy Belmonte,  and the Quezon City Anti-Drug Abuse Advisory Council for their support and guidance in our campaign against illegal drugs. I can say that we are winning the war against illegal drugs because of these mutual coordination and support”,  ayon kay PBGen Maranan.

Nagpaalala pa si Maranan sa mga residente  na makiisa sa kampanya laban sa ipinagbabawal na droga at mahalaga ang mga impormasyong kanilang isinusuplong sa bawat himpilan para magampanan  ang tungkulin ng kapulisan na panatilihin ang kapayapaan at kaligtasan ng komunidad.
