INIULAT ng Filinvest Land Inc. (FLI) na naka-engganyo ito ng isang Australian electric battery
maker para magtayo ng pabrika sa 200-hectare Filinvest Innovation Park-New Clark City

(FIP-NCC), Tarlac.


Ang kasunduan na nilagdaan noong Lunes ay sa pagitan ng StBattalion at FLI, para sa limang-taon, renewable lease ng dalawa nitong ready-built factory (RBF) units, bawa’t isa’y may sukat na 2,500 square meters (sq.m).


Sa 2024, ang StBattalion ay mglalagak ng puhunang US$10 milyon para sa lithium-ion battery
manufacturing plant para sa solar power na gagamitin ng FIP-NCC.

Ang planta ay magkakaroon ng inisyal na produksyon na 150 megawatt-hours bawat taon at tatas
sa 1.2 gigawat- hours sa 2030, ayon kay Trevor St Baker, StBattalion director.

Ayon kay Delfin Lorenzana, BCDA chairman, ang proyektong ito ay magbubukas daw ng maraming bagong trabaho hanggang sa 2030.
