Deliberasyon sa P2.385-B badyet ng OVP, tepok

AGAD na tinapos ng House Appropriations Committee ang deliberasyon sa P2.385 bilyong
panukalang badyet ng Office of the Vice President (OVP), noong Miyerkules.


Ito ay kahit na patuloy sa pagtutol ang Makabayan bloc dahil daw sa maling paggamit nang
mahigit P125-milyon na confidential fund ng OVP noong 2022.


Binanggit ni Senior Deputy Majority Leader at Ilocos Norte Rep. Sandro Marcos ang matagal
nang tradisyon na kaagad na tapusin ang mga pagtalakay sa badyet ng OVP, dahil wala raw
kumukwestiyon dito.


Umabot sa 21 mambabatas ang nagtaas ng kanilang kamay para tapusin na ang deliberasyon,
samantalang tatlong miyembro ng Makabayan bloc ang tumutol.

Nais ng Makabayan bloc na ipaliwanag ni Vice President Sara Duterte ang pinagmulan ng
P125-million “confidential fund” na tinaggap ng kanyang ahensya at ginastos noong 2022, kahit
na ito’y hindi nakasaad sa General Appropriations Act.


Iginiit ni Duterte, walang anumang iregularidad o hindi-awtorisadong paggastos, at ang
kinakailangang “liquidation at accomplishment reports” ay naisumite na sa kaukulang ahensya
ng gobyerno.
