Tutulan ang paggamit ng China ng militia vessels – Marcos

HINIKAYAT kahapon ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang Association of Southeast Asian
Nations (ASEAN) na tutulan ang mapanganib ng aksyon ng ilang coast guard at militia vessels
sa South China Sea sa pamamagitan nang mapayapang paraan.


Hindi binanggit ni Marcos – sa ika-18 East Asia Summit in Indonesia – ang bansang China na
nag-aangkin nang halos buong South China Sea, na inaangkin din ng Pilipinas, Brunei,
Malaysia, Taiwan at Vietnam.


Nasa pagpupulong sina Chinese Premier Li Qiang, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese,
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Japan Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, South Korean
President Yoon Suk Yeol, at United States Vice President Kamala Harris.


Patuloy daw na hina-harass ang ating mga sasakyang pandagat sa West Philippine Sea ng
China. PInakahuli noong Agosto, na anim na barko ng China Coast Guard at dalawang militia
vessels ang nagsagawa nang pambobomba ng tubig sa ating coast guard at dalawang maliliit
na barko. Nanganib ang buhay ng mga tripolante nito, na magdadala sana ng supplies sa mga
sundalo sa BRP Sierra Madre, na nasa loob ng exclusive economic zone ng bansa, ayon pa kay
Marcos.
