THE local government recently rolled out a series of comprehensive welfare distributions, bringing much-needed financial relief and essential food supplies to thousands of residents across the city.
During the third-quarter payout held at the Aguilar Sports Complex, a total of 2,500 senior citizens each received ₱3,000 in social pension benefits.
The beneficiaries hailed from several barangays, including Elias Aldana, Zapote, Pamplona Tres, Pamplona Dos, Pulang Lupa Uno, and Pulang Lupa Dos.
Mayor April Aguilar personally attended the distribution to ensure a smooth process and to interact warmly with the elderly beneficiaries.
She was joined by key city officials, including Ms. Lowefe Romulo of the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), Mr. Ronald Monfero of the PWD Affairs Office, Dr. Julie Gonzalez of the City Health Office, and representatives from the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO).
City leaders emphasized that the local government remains firmly committed to looking after the welfare of its senior community, ensuring they receive the care and respect they deserve.
In addition to supporting senior citizens, the city government also addressed broader household needs through food security initiatives.
Under President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s Bawat Bayan Makikinabang program, the second and third tranches of a 10-kilogram rice subsidy were successfully distributed to 4,000 beneficiaries.
Each family received a total of 20 kilograms of rice to help put food on their tables.
Mayor Aguilar spearheaded this rollout alongside Councilors Macmac Santos and Luigi Casimiro.
Through these coordinated social welfare programs, the Las Piñas City government continues to demonstrate its dedication to supporting vulnerable sectors, easing daily financial pressures, and uplifting the overall quality of life for every Las Piñero family.
