Klase sa 2024-2025 magsisimula sa Hulyo 29, ayon sa DepEd

MAGIGING maaga ang pagtatapos ng klase ngayong school year (SY) 2023-2024 para mahabol ang bagong iskedyul na Hulyo 29 para sa pagsisimula ng SY 2024-2025, na magtatapos sa Mayo 2025.

Ginawa ito ng Department of Education (DepEd) para unti-unting maibalik sa lumang SY ang iskedyul ng klase mula elementary hanggang senior high school.

Ayon kay DepEd USec. Michael Poa, “We adjusted the current school calendar so that the last school day falls on May 31.”

Samantala, ang bakasyon ng mga estudyante o school break ay mula Hunyo 1 hanggang Hulyo 28, 2024.

Ginawa ng DepEd ang unti-unting pagbabalik sa lumang school calendar dahil sa sobrang init na nararanasan ng mga mag-aaral at guro sa silid-aralan tuwing Marso.

Ayon sa isang pag-aaral noong 2023, umabot sa 67 percent ng mga guro ang nakaranas ng hindi matiis na sobrang init sa mga silid-aralan. Dahil dito, apektado ang concentration ng mga estudyante at mataas ang bilang ng mga lumiliban sa klase.

Magiging maluwag din ang DepEd sa mga pribadong paaralan para makasunod sa naturang kautusan o kaya’y maglabas ng kanilang sariling iskedyul nang naayon sa batas.
