Sari-sari stores, karinderya sa Marikina City, exempted sa business permit, tax

Nilagdaan ni Marikina City Mayor Marcy Teodoro ang Ordinance No. 140 nitong Lunes, bilang tulong sa mga maliliit na negosyante na ngayon pa lamang umaahon matapos ang pandemya.

Sa ilalim ng ordinansa, pagkakalooban ng 100% business permit at business tax exemption ang mga sari-sari stores at karinderya sa lungsod.

Saklaw nito ang mga eatery at sari-sari stores na hindi tataas sa ₱10,000 ang capital o nasa P180,000 ang annual gross receipt.

Samantala, ang mga tindahan na nagbebenta ng alak, sigarilyo at mahigit ₱10,000 ang capital ay obligado naman na magbayad ng buwis.

Simula January 1, 2024 hanggang December 31, 2024 epektibo ang naturang exemption sa business tax, business permit at local regulatory fees and charges, at ang mga malilibreng sari-sari stores at karinderya ay iisyuhan ng Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO).

“Ginagawa natin ito hindi para makita lang. Hindi para ipagyabang. Ginagawa natin ito para makatulong, kaya naisipan natin na ito na. Imbis na i-discount ililibre na lang natin ang business tax,” pahayag ni Mayor Teodoro.

Samantala, pinalawig naman ng alkalde ang deadline ng pagbabayad ng buwis.

“Ngayon dapat January 20 ang deadline, ginawa natin March 31. Sabi, paano kung hindi makabayad, edi i-extend natin. Hanggang kaya nating ibigay yun, ibibigay natin. Ganun ang taga Marikina,” dagdag pa ni Mayor Teodoro.
