DINISMIS nitong Enero 9 ng Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office ang reklamo ni ACT Party-
list Rep. France Castro laban kay dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.


Nahaharap ang dating Pangulo sa reklamong Grave Threat sa ilalim ng Article 282,
Revised Penal Code at Section 6 ng Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.


Nag-ugat ang reklamo mula sa mga pahayag ni Duterte sa kanyang TV program sa
Sonshine Media Network International (SMNI) nang banggitin niya ang tungkol sa
confidential fund ng kanyang anak na si Vice President Sara Duterte.


Sinabi ng prosekyutor na ang paraan nang pagsasabi ni Duterte ay nagpapahiwatig na
hindi dapat na seryosohin ang kanyang pagbabanta.


Idinagdag pa ng prosekyutor na sa simula pa lamang ng programa, nakikipagbiruan na si
Duterte sa program host. Ipinakikita lamang nito na hindi seryoso ang kanyang
pagbabanta.

“Being the father of the Vice President, the respondent would naturally be disappointed
and would come to the defense of his daughter in the midst of such political
issues/attacks,” ayon pa sa bahagi ng resolusyon.


Bukod pa rito, hindi raw pangkaraniwan at tila katawatawa na sabihin sa publiko ang
anomang pagbabanta sa buhay ng isang tao kung ito nga ay seryoso.
Kinumpirma ni Atty. Harry Roque, isa sa mga abogado ni Duterte na natanggap na nila
ang kopya ng desisyon ng korte sa pagwawalang-sala sa kanyang kliyente dahil sa hindi
sapat ang mga ebidensyang inihain ni Castro.
