DEKADANG NAGTAGO | Carnapper sa Pasig arestado sa Rizal

ARESTADO ang isang company driver na suspek sa carnapping sa isinagawang operasyon ng Cainta Municipal Police Station Warrant Tracker Team, bilang lead unit, katuwang ang Provincial Highway Patrol Team-Rizal, sa Taytay, Rizal, Hunyo 2, 2025.

Kinilala ni PCol. Felipe Maraggun ang suspek na si alyas Mario, 53, residente ng Brgy. San Juan ng nasabing bayan at itinuturing na most wanted person ng Rizal PNP.

Ayon kay Maraggun, inaresto ang suspek sa bisa ng warrant of arrest para sa kasong paglabag sa R.A. No. 6539 o Anti-Carnapping Act, na may inirekomendang piyansa na halagang P180,000.00.

Batay sa imbestigasyon, ang insidente ay naganap noon pang 2013, kung saan itinakbo umano ng akusado ang minamanehong taxi sa Pasig City.

Dahil dito, sinampahan siya ng kasong carnapping ng operator ng taxi at nagkubli sa batas sa loob ng mahigit isang dekada.

Nang tanungin siya ng mga awtoridad kung nasa kaniya pa ang nasabing taxi, palusot ng suspek ay iniwan din daw niya sa Pasig ang minamanehong taxi sa hindi malamang dahilan.

Kasalukuyang nakakulong pansamantala ang suspek sa Cainta Custodial Facility para sa dokumentasyon at tamang disposisyon at ayon kay Maraggun, hindi titigil ang Rizal PNP hangga’t hindi natitiyak ang seguridad, kaayusan, at kapayapaan sa buong lalawigan.
