Benta ng mga sasakyan, aabot sa 500,000

TILA maabot ng Campi ang prediksyon na kalahating milyon ang magiging benta ng mga brand-new na sasakyan ngayong 2024.

Ayon sa Campi o Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc., tumaas ng 15.5 percent ang benta ng mga sasakyan nitong Enero, mas mataas kaysa sa kaparehong buwan noong 2023. Umabot sa 429,807 units ang benta noong nakaraang taon.

Pinakaraming naibenta ang commercial vehicles na umabot sa 25,614 units o 75 percent, sumunod ang kotse na may of 8,446 units o 25 percent.

Positibo si Rommel Gutierrez, Campi president, na magiging mahusay ang benta ng mga sasakyan ngayong taon sa harap ng inflation at pagdaragdag ng buwis sa mga double cab pickup.

“We are starting off 2024 with positive business and consumer confidence outlook. We see new model introductions and the expansion of electrified vehicle line-up especially in the hybrid electric vehicle segment, and more brands coming into the market,” pagtatapos ni Gutierrez.
