Paghahanda sa drilling operations sa Malampaya 4 pinabibilis

Pinbabibilis ngayon ng Prime Energy Resources Development B.V. ang paghahanda para sa gagawing paghuhukay ng dalawang balon sa 2025.

Sinabi ng kumpanya kahapon na kapag naging matagumpay ito at pwedeng makapag-produce ng gas commercially, maglalagay ng pipelines at ito ay idudugtong sa kasalukuyang production facilities ng Malampaya.

Magsisimula raw sa 2026 ang produksyon ng dalawang wells sa Camago at Malampaya East.

Kinakailangan daw ang pamumuhunan na mahigit sa US$600 milyon para sa phased 4 ng proyekto, ayon kay Donnabel Kuizon Cruz, Prime Energy managing director.

Ayon pa kay Cruz, tinatatayang aabot sa halos US$187 milyon ang magagastos pagbili ng drilling equipment, subsea equipment, umbilicals, pati na rin pipelines na gagamitin sa rig.

Idiniin ng Prime Energy na hindi inaangkin o nakikialam ang China sa Malampaya contract area magmula pa noong 1988.

Pero sinabi ng isang observer na dapat na patuloy na magpatrulya ang ating Coast Guard sa karagatan malapit sa Malampaya para matiyak na hindi magkakaroon ng intrusion ang China.
