SINABI ni Cagayan de Oro 2nd dist. Rep. Rufus Rodriguez na dapat ikonsidera ng mga
awtoridad ang paggamit ng sasakyang panghimpapawid sa kanilang resupply mission sa
Ayungin Shoal.


Ito raw ay para mailayo ang ating mga barko sa panganib dahil sa paulit-ulit na ginagawang
pambu-bully ng China Coast Guard (CCG).


“Let’s end this practice… I do not see the rationale for using civilian boats and crew in
delivering supplies to our soldiers whose presence in that remote part of the West Philippine
Sea symbolizes our national sovereignty and territorial integrity there,” saad ni Rodriguez.

Idinagdag pa niya na pareho lang na mapanganib ang resupply sa dagat o sa ere, pero hindi
katulad ng mga sibilyan na ginagawa lamang nila ang tungkulin sa bayan, responsibilidad ng
militar ang resupply missions, pati na rin ang pagbibigay proteksyon sa integridad ng ating
teritoryo.

Inilabas ni Rodriguez ang pahayag matapos na muling bombahin ng water cannon ng CCG
ang resupply mission.


Dahil dito, muli na namang nag-file ng diplomatic protest ang Pilipinas laban sa China. Ito na
ang ika-125 diplomatic protest na bansa sa ilalim ng Administrasyong Marcos.
