Pasig, may bagong columbarium – Mayor vico

PINASINAYAAN kamakailan ni Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto ang isang bagong
columbarium sa lungsod na may kapasidad para sa 12,000.


Ang inagurasyon ay ginawa ilang araw bago ang All Saints Day at All Souls Day sa
Nobyembre 1 at 2. Matatagpuan ito sa loob ng sementeryo ng lungsod.


Sinabi ni Sotto na matutugunan ng columbarium ang bumababang bilang ng mga
espasyong paglilibingan sa apat na sementeryo ng lungsod. Ito ay ang Pasig City
Cemetery, Pasig Catholic Cemetery, Evergreen Chapels and Crematory, at Dela Paz
Funeral Homes.


Ayon pa sa mayor, kailangan ang patuloy na pagpaplano sa lokal na pamahalaan para
ma-maximize ang natitirang espasyo sa lungsod para magamit na himlayan ng mga
namayapang Pasigueños.

Nagsimula ang konstruksyon ng columbarium noong unang termino ni Sotto, 2019. Ito
ay patuloy na dini-develop, kasunod nang pagbili ng mga nitso at iba ng mga gamit,
pati na rin ang waterproofing at pagsasaayos ng drainage system sa loob ng
sementeryo.


Ayon pa kay Sotto, ang proyekto ay isang pagpapa-alala sa engineering department ng
lungsod na patuloy na gumawa nang pagpaplano, lalo na sa proyektong pang-
infrastucture, na may kumpletong programa nang paggawa mula simula hanggang sa
tuluyang matapos ito.
