Relief ops para sa mga biktima ng lindol sa Cebu pinaigting ng Red Cross

ISANG linggo matapos ang mapangwasak na 6.9-magnitude na lindol sa Cebu, pinaigting ng Philippine Red Cross (PRC) ang isinasagawang relief operation nito sa mga komunidad na lubhang naapektuhan.

Sinabi ni PRC Chairman and CEO Richard Gordon na kahit sabay-sabay na relief operations ang kasalukuyan nilang inaasikaso dahil sa tatlong sakuna na nanalasa sa bansa, determinado umano silang maisakatuparan ang pagbibigay ng tulong sa mga apektadong lugar.

Sa huling ulat, sinabi ni Gordon na nailigtas nila ang isang 12-taon na bata sa tulong ng Emergency Response Unit ng PRC, 73 indibidwal ang ginagamot habang isinugod sa mga pagamutan ang 14 na pasyente para sa kinakailangang lunas.

Umabot naman sa 64 katao ang inooperahan sa dalawang medical tents para sa disease prevention sessions sa pangunguna ng kanilang health teams.

Nakapamahagi naman ng 459 jerry cans o water container ang Welfare Services and Disaster Management Services (DMS) ng PRC lakip na ng 96 tents, 18 sleeping kits at 3,017 hot meals sa mga apektadong pamilya.

Nakapaghatid din ng 172,200 na litro ng malinis na tubig ang Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) na programa ng Red Cross upang masiguro na ligtas ang inuming tubig sa mga pamilyang nakakalat sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng lalawigan.

Sa kabuuan, 264 personnel at mga boluntaryo ang kumikilos para umalalay sa relief operation kasama ang 27 staff members at 84 na bagong nakalap na mga boluntaryo.

Nakakalat naman sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng lalawigan ang apat na mga ambulansya, apat na food trucks limang water tanker, tatlong water treatment unit, tatlong water bladder, mga generator, family tents, at heavy vehicles, ayon pa sa PRC.
