SAN JUAN City Mayor Francis Zamora has issued a strong call to city hall employees, urging them to rebuild public trust through hard work, honesty, and concrete actions rather than mere words.
Speaking during the weekly flag-raising ceremony, Mayor Zamora addressed how widespread reports of scandals, anomalies, and government corruption have severely demoralized public servants and deepened public skepticism toward authorities.
“We need to show that not all governments are bad. There are only a few, but they are often generalized as all, and we need to change that,” Zamora emphasized.
Having led the city for about seven years, Zamora noted that he has consistently worked to earn the trust of his constituents through dedication and sincerity.
Throughout his tenure, he has earned a reputation as a leader of action, a trait reflected in the numerous high-impact projects that directly benefit San Juaneños.
Observers have noted that these innovative local government projects have drawn widespread acclaim, attracting the attention of both domestic and international institutions that now look to San Juan as a benchmark for good governance.
Concluding his message, Mayor Zamora challenged city personnel to maintain these high standards: “We need to make a conscious effort that here in San Juan, we are different, we are working well, and we are honest with our constituents.”
