SAN JUAN City Mayor Francis Zamora recently joined fellow local leaders and national officials in Cagayan de Oro City to support the nationwide rollout of the “LAB for All” (Laboratoryo, Konsulta, at Gamot Para sa Lahat) program, spearheaded by First Lady Louise “Liza” Araneta-Marcos.

The successful medical mission brought essential healthcare services directly to thousands of residents, breaking down the financial and logistical barriers that often prevent local communities from accessing timely medical attention.

During the event, Mayor Zamora stood alongside a distinguished group of leaders, including Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Klarex Uy, Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, city councilors, Pampanga Governor Baby Pineda, Sultan Kudarat Governor Datu Pax Ali Mangudadatu, former TESDA Secretary Teng Mangudadatu.

Also in attendance were Nanay Partylist Congresswoman Florabel Yatco, Opol (Misamis Oriental) Mayor Jay Bago, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) General Manager Mel Robles, Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) Chief Persida Acosta, Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Director General Paolo Teston, and Aimee Marcos, alongside various national agency personnel.

As a comprehensive one-stop service caravan under the Office of the First Lady, the program provided beneficiaries with vital health screenings and treatments, including electrocardiograms (ECGs), urinalysis, blood sugar and cholesterol testing, chest X-rays, ultrasounds for pregnant women, professional consultations, and a 15-day supply of free medicines.

Anchored on Republic Act No. 11223, or the Universal Health Care Act, the initiative reflects the Marcos administration’s continuous drive to deliver equitable, grassroots-level health services.

By encouraging local government units to adopt and scale this successful model, the program continues to multiply its reach, transforming individual medical missions into a sustainable blueprint for nationwide healthcare delivery.
